I like the pictures of the writers the the right of the headlines. I also like the use of pictures on this site, although it's hard to tell if it's an ad or a picture that links to a story.

I agree I really like the Girst site set up. I like the section of the most popular posts, we could have like most viewed section as well.
I definitely agree about this being a model sight for us. Although you're right about not being able to tell if you're clicking on content or advertising with those pictures - we could definitely skip that. But we could use the little thumbnail pics every time someone posts, and the sidebar boxes could be used for not only for most viewed, but for the articles our bloggers suggest as well.
